Albemarle's Catalysts global unit
Albemarle's Yeosu facility has been established as a
world-class producer of polymer catalysts.
The ROC will be essential in scaling up production of products
to meet growing global demand and the specific needs of customers.
Benefit of the new Research and Operations center (ROC)
The ROC is a state-of-the-art facility that will allow for
1. the quicker development of new catalysts formulations and
2. could considerably decrease time-to-markets for Albemarle's products
Other business activity
Albemarle's Board of Directors has also approved the expansion of
the existing Yeosu facility to produce Albemarle's products used in
metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOVCD),
a process used to manufacturing chips for semiconductors, LEDs,
and optoelectronic devices.
The expansion is slated for completion in 2013
